The Story Behind Jili97
Where it started, why it matters, and where it's going.
The people behind Jili97 had spent years
watching Filipino players settle for platforms that were built elsewhere and barely
adapted for the Philippine market. Peso deposits would convert at unfavourable rates.
Withdrawals took days. Customer support operated on a foreign timezone. Games that
Filipinos actually love – like Pusoy, Color Game, and local sports betting on PBA
and volleyball – were either absent or poorly done.
So instead of patching over someone else's work, the team built Jili97 clean.
Every decision – from the payment integrations to the game library to the way
customer support is run – was made with the Filipino user as the primary reference
point. Not as an afterthought, not as a secondary market, but as the entire reason
the platform exists.
Today, Jili97 is used by players from
Luzon to Mindanao. Some play for the sports betting – PBA, UAAP volleyball, football
from the Premier League and La Liga. Others come for the casino games – roulette,
Pusoy, Color Game. Some players use it for both, plus the Refer a Friend program
that lets them earn extra pera just by sharing the platform with their barkada.
The platform keeps growing because it was built to actually work for Filipino players,
and that core principle hasn't changed.
"We wanted to build something Filipinos would actually be proud to use – not just
tolerate. Something sulit in the real sense of the word."
